Rabindra Maharjan, Team Leader of Experience Outdoors Nepal , with more than fifteen years of experience organizing and operating treks, expeditions, and research projects in the Himalayas share a commitment to top quality service and responsible tourism. EON boasts of many repeated customers and loyal staff, treating each other with respect and customizing itineraries ranging from one day to month long treks, to full scale mountaineering expeditions, research and educational trips to match skills and interests.

EON handles all your holiday needs like the hotel and flight reservations, permits for the trips efficiently. We assure that every trek, expedition, and venture is planned in detail from start to finish. We promote the routes, region and destinations that we know well. All our Team have personally trekked most routes and know villagers among the way. Our Team Leader is an avid Traveler himself and visited most of European Countries including Austria, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, and Switzerland to bring new ideas and techniques related to growing tourism trends in the world.

Customized Itineraries: Each trek is custom-designed with extra-ordinary features: an off-the-beaten-track extension, an overnight stay or meal in a village home, a visit to a conservation project site, participation in a local festival, or a personal blessing from a high lama. Itineraries are modified to suit the client’s time schedule, ability, interest, and even last minutes changes in the weather.

Health and Hygiene are equally high on the staff’s agenda: guides are certified in first aid training, all staffs are taught personal and kitchen hygiene, and mountain guides are proficient in avoiding hazardous conditions and emergency rescue.

• Carly Steiger

Canadian born Carly Steiger is a world traveler with most of her travel spent in South Asia experiencing a wide variety of cultures, adventures, and humanitarian projects. Apart from her travels, her formal education includes an Applied Bachelor’s Degree in Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership from Calgary, Canada, a field study in Belize, and various conferences throughout Alberta, Canada. Ms. Steiger grew up with the Canadian Rockies as her backyard and quickly loved the prospects of sharing our natural environment with youth.

For the past 5 years, Ms. Steiger has dedicated her time working with youth, engaging them in the outdoors and for the past 2 years, directing an outdoor education centre for her provincial government, focusing on natural resource education. Ms. Steiger has a natural fit in connecting people with the natural environment, understanding the importance that while enjoying any outdoor activity, we need to be independent and be aware of our ecological footprint.

From humanitarian to environmentalist to adventure enthusiast, Ms. Steiger continues her journey in sharing the value of experiential learning and the importance of sustaining the natural environment. As the International Director, Ms. Steiger is devoted to see Experience Outdoors Nepal become a leader in sustainable practices for both, education in natural resources and tourism. Ms. Steiger understands leadership and will continue to pursue the best practices for this industry.
